Three layers of chewy nostalgia coming atcha! You really don’t want to miss these. The medjool date caramel is truly ooey-gooey and dreamy paired with the bottom layer and chocolate coating. There’s even a nut-free suggestion included if you want to make them super allergy friendly!
What’s better than a comforting bowl of tomato soup? This simple creamy tomato soup with hidden veggies of course! I actually threw this together on a whim and wrote down the recipe just incase it turned out – thankfully it did because now I get to share with you! This is a thicker/creamier version of tomato soup. My husband isn’t a big fan of thin/runny soups and likes a bit more texture, so this one was a bit of a compromise. I thickened it up with the cauliflower and coconut milk and added a nice crunch with the chickpeas!
As the days get darker it can be harder to keep that pep in our step. The cooler weather & shorter days are definitely here to stay. I don’t know about you, but I’m a summer girl through and through! Winter can be hard for the best of us – it’s cold, it’s dark and it’s just straight up harder to find motivation.
With that said, I find it way easier to prevent a funk then to dig myself out of one, so I wanted to share a few basic tips that help me prevent the sluggish feeling that can come along with the change of seasons and colder, darker weather. *These tips can also be used to pull yourself out of a slump.
The beautiful thing about this recipe is that it is so versatile. If you make the recipe as is outlined below then it is family friendly and, as I said, it will appeal to all ages and tastes. If you want to make it a cocktail instead of a mocktail it’s easy to add spirits to the mix either before you prepare or to an individual serving. It’s fun, fizzy, delicious & super instagrammable. Serve it in a fun fancy glass and you’ll be all set to SIP!
So why buy the sugary artificially flavoured version from Starbucks when you can make your own healthier version at home! Do we even know what is in some of the drinks that we buy at coffee shops? The reality is that most of us don’t! After looking up the ingredients of a PSL from Starbucks, I would way rather make my own at home with ingredients that will both fuel my body & satisfy my craving!
Have you ever tried papaya boats? Well that’s where my inspiration for these babies came from. I LOVE papaya boats in the summer so I decided to make a fall version of one of my “luxurious” summer breakfast fav. This might seem like an odd pairing if you’ve never tried squash and yogurt before, but I promise you won’t be disappointed!
A veg take on a classic. Whether you’re vegan or not, these nachos are packed with flavour, protein, and healthy fats. They are also guaranteed to leave you feeling satisfied until your next meal!
