No Bake Chocolate PB Fudge Balls (v/gf)

I love making simple treats on Sundays to snack on throughout the week – call me crazy, but it’s something I genuinely look forward to.

If you’re anything like me and crave an afternoon snack or chocolate after a meal, these balls are calling your name.

No bake recipes are always a win in my books because (1) they’re usually so fast to make and there’s next to no clean up, (2) the texture is always so perfect! So if you don’t have time to prep treats on Sundays you can take 10 minutes throughout the week when the craving hits

Made with under 10 ingredients and ready in 10 minutes – need I say more? Probably not, but I will. Peanut butter and chocolate are, in my opinion, a match made in heaven and never fail to satisfy my sweet tooth! That means these babies check every box.

One thing I do want to touch on is cacao because I used cacao powder in this recipe, and it is important to ensure that the brand you buy is transparent about their heavy metal testing.

Cacao can be a source of heavy metals and you want to be confident that the brand you are buying has properly tested for heavy metals in their product(s).

I have purchased Terrasoul cacao from HomeSense before if you’re looking for a bargain and are a HomeSense lover like me! Currently I am using Viva Naturals.

For more information I included an instagram post by Dr. Christian Gonzalez (@doctor.g_) that shares cacao companies that are and aren’t transparent so that you can purchase accordingly.

I love this infographic because it’s one thing to know something and another thing to practice it. I knew that cacao can carry heavy metals if not properly tested, but I didn’t take the time to look into whether brands shared their third party testing with their customers. I had one brand (Terrasoul) that I knew was safe, but hadn’t dug deeper. It’s so great to know now which brands to avoid and which I can mark safe. I hope you find it helpful too!
